Seminar Instructs New Jersey Homeowners On Property Tax Appeal Process

In 2016, nearly 90,000 homeowners appealed their property taxes in New Jersey – and nearly two-thirds succeeded in having their assessments reduced by $25,000.00 to $75,000.00 – thereby lowering their taxes in many cases by $10,000.00 over 12 years.

In this seminar –- hosted by realtor Peter Jordan of Berkshire Hathaway Homes Services NJ Properties — homeowners will be taught exactly how to determine if their property values are overassessed and what is required to successfully challenge assessments in their township.

Homeowners will also learn:

– How individual property assessments and taxes are calculated
– Rules for determining a winnable case
– How to choose the best comparable sales to defend a valuation.
– Common pitfalls and problems that can lead to a permanent dismissal of a case – and how to avoid them.

Special guest speaker:

Maria Cozzini
New Jersey Real Estate Tax Attorney

As a special bonus, each homeowner who attends will receive a free, complimentary assessment of their current eligibility for a tax appeal.
